Carla Bustillos is an American Venezuelan community advocate and political activist, with a degree in Latin American Studies from American University School of International Service.  She is a Founding Director of Visión Democrática (Democratic Vision), a nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating the participation of the Venezuelan diaspora in the economic and social development of Venezuela through advocacy in Washington, DC and through partnerships with field operators and stakeholders in Venezuela. She is the current Political Action Director for the Democratic Latino Organization of Virginia (Caucus). She served as Regional Co-Chair from Northern Virginia of DLOV in 2018 and 2020. Post her years as a student leader at American University, she held professional positions at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Government of the District of Columbia, and supported the U.S. Federal Government in consulting roles for the NAVY, and the Department of Health and Human Services. 

Cofundadora y miembro del Consejo Consultivo, Carla Bustillos es una defensora de la comunidad venezolana estadounidense y activista política, con un título en Estudios Latinoamericanos de la Escuela de Servicio Internacional de la Universidad Americana. Es directora fundadora de Visión Democrática, una organización sin fines de lucro dedicada a facilitar la participación de la diáspora venezolana en el desarrollo económico y social de Venezuela a través de la promoción en Washington, DC y mediante asociaciones con operadores de campo y partes interesadas en Venezuela. Ella es la actual Directora de Acción Política de la Organización Latina Democrática de Virginia (Caucus). Se desempeñó como Copresidenta Regional de Virginia del Norte de DLOV en 2018 y 2020. Después de sus años como líder estudiantil en American University, ocupó cargos profesionales en Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, el Gobierno del Distrito de Columbia y apoyó el Gobierno Federal de los EE. UU. en funciones de consultoría para la NAVY y el Departamento de Salud y Servicios Humanos.
